Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a global service provider to the mining and aggregate industries. Due to consistent projects forecasted, we are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their workshop team based in Newcastle.

If you're a qualified Mechanical Fitter looking to partner with a global leader in fixed plant overhauls, then we want to hear from you!

What’s involved?

• Overhauls of fixed plant, including but not limited to pumps, screens and valves
• Strip, assess and rebuild projects in a large, workshop team environment
• Use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers

What we’re looking for:

• Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Forklift ticket - must have
• Dogging ticket - preferred
• Proactive attitude and diligence
• Great teamwork ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Great references to support your application

What we can offer you

• Casual rate $61 - $62 / hour
• Monday - Friday
• Day shift 6 - 2:30 with some overtime available
